Brasilettas are small trees or large thorny shrubs, seven to fifteen metres high. The trunk and larger branches are fluted and the heartwood is deep red. Interestingly, it's considered a tropical hardwood tree in the legume family. In this piece, the heartwood was slabbed and set in a flowing green resin river that winds around each piece. Iron hairpin legs perfectly finish this piece without taking away from the top. Great size for a tall side table or a place to show off your adventurous streak!
